Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the new Parliament House. He unveiled the plaque marking the inauguration and installed the Sengol in the Lok Sabha chamber. Most of the Opposition parties boycotted the inauguration ceremony, which also included a multi-faith prayer and Modi felicitating workers of the Parliament House and greeting the priests who handed over the Sengol. The new Parliament House is part of the Central Vista Project that's redeveloping the Lutyens' Delhi where the Union government offices are located.
