Suspected Naxalites Torch 14 Vehicles In Attack On Construction Site In Chhattisgarh

In a pre-dawn incident on Monday, suspected Naxalites targeted construction activities in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, setting fire to a total of 14 vehicles and machines. The incident occurred at around 1:30 am at Bangali camp under Bhansi police station limits. Eyewitnesses reported that 40 to 50 individuals, dressed as civilians and some armed, arrived at the location and ignited the vehicles and machines, including trucks, poclain, and earth-moving machines, as reported by PTI.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The targeted vehicles and machines, totaling 13, belonged to a private construction firm and were involved in road construction between Dantewada and Bacheli. Additionally, a water tanker engaged in railway works was also among the damaged assets.
