To reach the monastery, you must take a moderate hike of approximately 2-3 hours. The permit is valid for seven days and must be presented at every checkpoint for verification.It is important to remember that Indian tourists are required to pay a certain Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of INR 1,200 per person per night. Children aged 5 and below are exempted from the SDF while those aged 6 to 12 get a fifty percent concession.
