10 minutes have been played in Kaiserslautern, and it has been a solid start from the defending champions, who have had almost two-thirds of the ball. However, they are yet to test the goalkeeper, which Germany have already done through Buhl.

Germany have slowly started to get some foothold in the match and are trying to attack Spain's high backline. Aleixandri earns a yellow card for pulling the jersey of a German player to stop a counter attack.

A couple of brillaint moves by Germany. First, a long ball from her own half by Minge sets Anyomi free, but the German striker was offside by centimetres. A minute later, the home side come forward again, and Kett's shot from the left edge of the box is saved by Coll.

Germany are continuing their pressure on the Spanish box. The ball is floated towarsd the far post from the corner, and Cerci headed it back for Knaack. The latter's point black header is somehow saved by Coll and hits the head of Paredes before going out. The second corner results in a foul in favour of Spain.

It's half-time at Kaiserslautern, and neither side have been able to break the deadlock. The home side have had the better of the chances, with five shots on Coll's goal and seriously threatening with a close-range header by Knaak. However, La Roja have held on to their clean sheet in what has been a pretty entertaining half of football.

The referee blows his whistle, and Spain get the ball rolling. Germany have dominated the first half, but they will look to transform that into something tangible by getting an early lead to take with them to Madrid. Stay tuned!

Spain look like a completely different team in the second half, and the pressure almost paid off as Esther Gonzalez thundered her shot against the woodwork. Berger was completely beaten, but the post came to their rescue.

After soaking in the early pressure from Spain, Germany have pushed forward in numbers. The ball fel into the box with Anyomi trying to attack it, and it rolled on to Buhl on the left edge. The Bayern winger had two shots that were blocked by the Spanish defence. The home support have found their voice again!

Both sides have made a change. Earlier, Spain brought off Claudia Pina for Eva Navarro. Now, Germany respond by bringing on the exciting teenage talent Alara Sehitler in place of Cerci.

Meanwhile, Germany quickly break forward, with Buhl going at it all alone. She lined up a powerful ground shot from outside the box that beat the reach of Coll but crashed against the post. Agonisingly close!!

Almost went it!! A misshit cross by Brandt from the right flank turned into a shot instead and had Coll at full stretch. Instead, it skinned against the top of the bar and went behind.

Meanwhile, Spain make a double change, with Leon and Aitana coming off. On come Athenea and Maria Mendez.

Germany are getting closer and closer. It's Buhl at the heart of it again, playing a terrific cut back to find Martinez in the middle of the box. The West Ham player, making her international debut tonight, has a first-time shot, but it's blocked by the defence.

Germany push and push and push, but as has been the story all night, they are unable to break Spain's backline. As a result, the first leg ends in a goalless draw, and both these sides will go at it again in the second leg in Madrid.
