A Gurugram birthday party took a violent turn last night when a mob attacked college students over a parking dispute at the Oasis Garden farmhouse.

Praveen, the owner, was killed while trying to rescue the students, and Gajendra from Delhi Technical University (DTU) also succumbed to injuries.

The dispute erupted as college students were leaving the birthday celebration. Around 11:30 PM, some of them called a cab to go home.

In the meantime, four youths, possibly drunk, arrived in a car from the nearby Bandhwari village, and a fight broke out between the two parties, according to the police.

Soon after, more than a dozen youths came to the farmhouse, assaulting both the students and the staff who intervened to protect them. Police reported that approximately eight others were injured in the incident.

Authorities have filed a case, charging the assailants with murder and attempted murder.

On Sunday night, the Sikandarpur Crime Unit arrested two people, Sachin and Ashish, both from Bandhwari village, in connection with the incident, as per the police.

Sikandarpur Crime Unit Head Satender Rawal told PTI, "During interrogation, it was revealed that an argument that started over parking of vehicles escalated into a fight. We are conducting raids to nab others accused."
