Andy Samberg, the comedic genius has been making us laugh until our  stomachs hurt for years and is best known for his funny antics on the hit television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Here we reveal some shocking facts about him as he celebrates another year of his life: 

1. Samberg's third cousin is a U.S. Senator 
U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) happens to be his third cousin, a familial connection that stems from their grandfathers being first cousins.


2. Samberg in a music video?
Andy Samberg made a cameo in  the music video,  I Can’t Get Enough Of Myself  by Santigold in 2016. 


Samberg reads his social media comments
Andy Samberg continues to feel the need to check online comments for whatever reasons. He claims that the fact that every former cast member of “Saturday Night Live” has an IMDb page filled with negative comments makes him feel okay and that he is on the right track.

There is a burger named after Samberg

Samberg was a stand up comic for seven years

Technically, Samberg performed stand-up comedy for almost ten years before landing on SNL and becoming a successful actor. He, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer were all members of the comic group "The Lonely Island." The group's debut album, Incredibad, was  released in 2009, and they started contributing to Saturday Night Live in 2005.

If given a chance, Samberg wants to host the Golden Globes

When The Hollywood Reporter asked him if he'd be interested in hosting The Golden Globes, he responded if given a chance he would love to. “Ofcourse, are you kidding me? Any comedian would.”


Samberg went to school with co-star Chelsea Peretti
 As a child, Samberg  attended the same school as comedian and Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Chelsea Peretti. She apparently had a crush on him since she would repeatedly call his residence and then hang up. 


Apart from being an amazing actor, he is also known for his work on the sketch comedy television show "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and for being a member of the comedy music group "The Lonely Island." Samberg has done numerous movies till date displaying his acting prowess namely, Hot Rod (2007), Space Chimps (2008), That's My Boy (2012), Celeste and Jesse Forever (2012), Storks (2016), Palm Springs (2020), America: The Motion Picture (2021), and Chip'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022).
