The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the launch of the upgraded Golden Chariot Luxury Train for the 2026–27 tourist season. The move brings one of India’s better-known luxury rail services back with updated facilities and a revised passenger offering.
The train, which runs routes through parts of South India known for their cultural and scenic significance, has been associated with curated long-distance journeys combining travel and tourism.
