Kashmiri Pandits stage demonstrations

Terror outfit 'Kashmir Fight' on Wednesday issued a fresh threat to Kashmiri Pandit government employees under the Prime Minister’s Rehabilitation Package (PMRP), threatening targeted killings and warned that their transit colonies will soon be turned into graveyards.

'Occupier puppet regime constructing Israeli type settlements'

In a letter shared on social media, the terror group warned the "PM package scapegoats" that the "the occupier regime" is using them. The letter read, "This Occupier puppet regime stationed in IIOJK wants to make these PM Package scapegoats to live in dream world but ignores the fact that their dirty plans have got exposed. The list we uploaded is not just a list but a being carried out at the two sites warning to all PM Package scapegoats not to get carried away with Occupier regimes filthy promises."

Furthermore, the insinuating letter referred to Kashmiri Pandit colonies as "Israeli type settlements" in the West Bank, and openly threatened contractors involved in the transit colonies project. "Those contractors involved in raising these structures will not be spared, anybody/everyone involved in this will be dealt harshly," it said.

This came hours after Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the under-construction transit colonies of Kashmiri Pandit government employees in Baramulla and Bandipora. The J&K administration is constructing transit accommodation for migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees at Odina village in the Sumbal area in North Kashmir.

'These settlements are your graveyards'

"It is just a matter of time when the wrath of Resistance Fighters will befall on all those traitors involved. To all PM Package scapegoats just introspect yourselves and how this Occupier Fascist Regime uses you. It is up to you what to decide. These settlements are your graveyards," the letter read.

"Remember that; When the Oceans roar it demolish everything that is it's target. So be ready. Package scapegoats and other Non-Local/Foreigner the works: LG Manoj Sinha employees will certainly become the graveyard for them," the letter added.

Kashmiri Pandits demand relocation

Kashmiri Pandit employees have unitedly assembled under the banner of "The All Migrant (Displaced) Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK)" at the relief commissioner's office for over 200 days and staged a sit-in to press their demand for relocation from the Valley to Jammu. They have frequently been targeted by militias since the start of 2021.

The community's protests grew manifold since the killing of Rahul Bhat, a state revenue department employee, who was shot dead by terrorists in the tehsil office in Chadoora town of Budgam district of J-K's Badgam district on May 22.
