Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana who have been together for almost four years recently called it quits. They broke the hearts of their fans with the news of their split. Asim and Himanshi met on 'Bigg Boss 13'. Himanshi released an official statement on social media where she confirmed they broke up. She wrote in her statement that due to 'different religious beliefs' they had to part ways. She also leaked some personal chats with Asim and the screenshots of their chats went viral all over the social media.

Asim Riaz who was yet to comment on their breakup has finally broken his silence on the leaked chats. The rapper and singer took to the X handle to share a lengthy statement where he confirmed that they 'agreed to sacrifice their love for respective religious beliefs'.

He wrote, “Yes Indeed we both agreed to sacrifice our love for our respective religious beliefs. We both are 30+ and we have full right to take these mature decisions and we made it. We’ve decided to part ways amicably, embracing our individual journeys. Respect for Himanshi and our diverse path and yes indeed i told her to write the real reason for our separation. Request you to all to respect our privacy.”

In the leaked chats shared by Himanshi, Asim asked her to give the reason of their breakup as 'religious differences'.

Earlier, announcing her breakup with Asim, Himanshi wrote in her statement, “YES, We are not together anymore, All the time we have spent together has been great but our togetherness comes to an end Now. The journey of our relationship was great and we are moving forward in our lives. With due respect to our respective religions we are sacrificing our love for our different religious beliefs. We have nothing against each other. We request you to respect our privacy.”

For the unversed, Himanshi and Asim's love story bloomed inside the 'Bigg Boss 13' house. Since then, they have been going strong in their relationship. Together, they also appeared in music videos, ‘Kalla Sohna Nai’ and 'Khayal Rakhya Kar'.
