ENG Vs PAK, 2nd Test: Agha’s Stunning Catch, Abbas’ Four Wickets Headline Pakistan’s Fightback On Day 1

Pakistan produced a much-improved bowling performance at Lord’s as Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Ali exploited the overcast conditions to reduce England to 248/9 on a rain-shortened opening day of the second Test. After play began at 12.20pm, Abbas struck early to dismiss Emilio Gay, Ben Duckett and Joe Root as England slipped to 36/3, while Ali bowled Harry Brook with the delivery of the day. Jordan Cox (55) and Jamie Smith (61) then steadied England with a 67-run stand before Salman Ali Agha produced a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Cox. Ali struck twice in three balls to remove Smith and Ollie Robinson, while Abbas claimed his fourth wicket by bowling Jofra Archer. Gus Atkinson remained unbeaten on 34 with Josh Tongue on one when bad light ended play, with Abbas finishing 4/56 and Ali 3/67.

By Photo Webdesk

Barcelona made it two wins from two in La Liga with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Athletic Club at Camp Nou, with Raphinha continuing his fine start to the season by opening the scoring in the 37th minute after rounding goalkeeper Unai Simón following a superb through ball from Pedri. Athletic struggled to threaten, managing no shot on target, while Simón produced eight saves to keep his side in contention. Rodri made his Barcelona debut in the second half after replacing Raphinha, receiving a huge ovation on his return to La Liga following his move from Manchester City. Fermín López sealed the points in the 82nd minute, converting from close range after Athletic failed to deal with Karim Adeyemi’s cross, as Barcelona extended their La Liga home winning streak to 20 matches.

Kyle Kirkwood Wins Freedom 250 As Alex Palou Suffers Nightmare IndyCar Race

Kyle Kirkwood produced a commanding drive to win the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C., making history on IndyCar’s first race around the National Mall. The Andretti Global driver led 128 of the 147 laps and crossed the line 3.0906 seconds ahead of Arrow McLaren’s Christian Lundgaard, with teammate Will Power completing the podium. The 250-mile race was interrupted by six caution periods, but Kirkwood repeatedly maintained control, including after late restarts. Championship leader Alex Palou endured a nightmare afternoon, suffering a drive-through penalty, a slow pit stop and a crash on his way to 20th place. Kirkwood’s victory reduced Palou’s championship lead from 133 points to 91, with three races remaining.
