Sean Connery was known as an extreme actor. His films would either be grand blockbusters or simply flop into the dirt. But still, he was all producer’s favourite because his fans ensured that his films gained the movie’s budget back. However, irrespective of the result, the Scottish actor, who is known for his action and style in the James Bond franchise, gave his best performance in all his films. Here are a few films that show different sides of Sean Connery:

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
A breezy adventure full of witty dialogue, the third film in the Indiana Jones franchise - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade sees Connery play Henry, an adventurer who disappears while searching for the legendary Holy Grail. His son Harrison Ford goes in search of him and once the two are reunited, they forge an uneasy bond as they decide to search for the Grail together, racing against time and the Nazis while making all attempts to prevent the unthinkable.
The father-son chemistry in the film is incredible and the biblical puzzles they have to work their way through in the film’s final set piece are perfectly placed. Surely, the flick is a great pass time irrespective of the changing tastes and times.

The Man Who Would Be King
Considered as one of Sean Connery's finest performances, The Man Who Would Be King is based on a story by Rudyard Kipling. Featuring three amazing actors in their prime: Sean Connery, Michael Caine, and Christopher Plummer, it is one of the unforgettable movies of those times.
The plot revolves around two British soldiers who decide to seek adventure and fortune in a distant region called Kafiristan. Following a series of events, Connery makes perfect use of a few misunderstandings – where he is mistaken for a divine being and the descendant of Alexander the Great himself.
Connery shows off his dramatic acting chops in the part making ‘The Man Who Would Be King’ his best film role ever.

The Untouchables
One of the best gangster films ever made, The Untouchables is notable in Sean Connery's career because it netted the actor his only Oscar. The feat is doubly impressive for its eminent cast list — Robert De Niro, Kevin Costner, and Andy Garcia. But despite an impressive cast of nuanced stars, Connery is the one who got the nod for Best Supporting Actor and walked away with the award. In the film, Sean Connery plays Jimmy Malone, a veteran officer who's grown tired of Capone's hold on the police force, and he risks everything to help bring the gangster down.
Through such impeccable performances, the actor remains alive in many hearts even today.
