- Godrej Group: Rs 5-8 crore annually. The Pirojsha Godrej Foundation spends Rs 3-5 crore, group companies Rs 2-3 crore. Focus areas: environment/conservation.
- Lupin LTD: Rs 2 crore (annual average); 2.2 per cent of net PAT. Focus areas: rural projects involving income generation, health and education, village infrastructure in over 2,000 villages in 4 states.
- JSW Steel LTD (O.P. Jindal group): Rs. 1.7 crore (in 2004-05); 0.2 per cent of net PAT. Focus areas: health, vocational training and cultural activities.
- Thermax: Rs 1.23 crore (2005-06); 1 per cent of net PAT. Focus areas: energy and environment initiatives like water harvesting in rural areas.

- Bharat Petroleum: Rural development in 37 ‘adopted’ villages across India; social welfare schemes for rural SC/STs; rural AIDS intervention.
