The Orange Cap in the IPL is given to the player who scores the most runs in a season. Since 2008, many top batters have won this award by delivering consistent performances. With IPL 2025 coming up, fans are looking forward to seeing who will lead the run charts this time.
Virat Kohli holds the record for the most runs in a single IPL season, scoring 973 runs in 2016. The Indian talisman also won the award last season with 741 runs. David Warner has won the Orange Cap three times, the most by any player. Chris Gayle is the only player to win back-to-back Orange Caps in 2011 and 2012, scoring 608 and 733 runs, respectively, for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
