Actor Salman Khan has received a fresh death threat amidst security, as per a report in ANI. On Tuesday, Mumbai Police did a security review for the actor after he received a threat on Facebook by an account that claimed to be gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The FB account had Bishnoi's photo as a profile pic

It is to be noted that Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in jail in a drugs smuggling case which is investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The Facebook post was addressed to Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal. The same issued a warning to the 'Tiger 3' actor as well.

The post read: "You consider Salman Khan a brother, but now it’s time for your ‘brother’ to come and save you. This message is also for Salman Khan – don’t be in the illusion that Dawood will save you; no one can save you''.

It further read: ''Your dramatic response to Sidhu Moose Wala’s death did not go unnoticed. We all know the kind of person he was and the criminal associations he had. You’ve now landed on our radar. Consider this a trailer; the full film will be released soon. Flee to any country you wish, but remember, death doesn’t require a visa; it comes uninvited''.

For the unaware, Bishnoi is allegedly involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Gippy Grewal's residence in Canada was attacked recently for which Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility.

After the threat on Facebook, the Mumbai Police immediately did a reassessment of Salman's security arrangements and also alerted the actor. As per a report in Hindustan Times, Mumbai Police said that they have written to the social media platform to check where the post has been generated from, whether Bishnoi's social media account is genuine and who handles it on his behalf. ''We are trying to find the Internet protocol address,'' said the police.

Sources told India Today that the origin of the Facebook account is operating outside India.

In March this year, Salman Khan received a death threat via an e-mail post which his security was tightened. He currently has Y Plus security.
