Bobby Deol, who was one of the most loved actors of his time, made several comebacks in the last few years. However, none of them made him popular the way ‘Animal’ did. In Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Bobby had a small role, and he was on the screen for less than 15 minutes. But, he managed to make such a huge impact on the audience that they just could not stop talking about him after the film.

In his many interviews post the release of the film, Bobby talked about his long wait for recognition, and how the release of ‘Animal’ has given him a lot more than he could have expected. Now, it looks like Bobby’s fandom is not just virtual.

Recently, Bobby was trying to exit the Mumbai airport without any security, and guess what? He was mobbed by fans who wanted to get a selfie with him. Bobby was seen smiling as he was loving the attention, as he tried to evade everyone and move towards his car. Fans in the comment section even said how Bobby should probably invest in hiring a security team since he would need to navigate crowds now.

One of his fans wrote, “He deserves this.” And another commented, “It’s good to see that .” Another one called  his comeback in ‘Animal’ “extraordinary” and mentioned how he appeared “humble” when surrounded by fans.

Bobby was seen in the role of Abrar in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. His character is shown to have three wives. In an interview with Galatta Plus, Vanga had shared why he chose for this character to be a Muslim. “I’ve seen people, when they enter a zone of zero confidence, people will come and say to them, ‘Go to a church, or go to a baba, he’ll give some taweez, change your name…’ I’ve seen people changing their religion because so much has happened to them. At a low point, they feel like it’s a new birth, it’s a change of identity completely… We see a lot of people converting to Islam and Christianity; we never see anybody converting to Hinduism. So, I thought I’ll use this, because you can get multiple wives in Islam.”

When Bobby was asked about the marital rape scene in the film, he told The Quint, “I’m not trying to promote anything. Yes, it was required. How do you showcase a character in such a short span, show what this man is capable of, what kind of person he is? All these scenes were required.”
