Heatwave Likely To Abate As Rainfall Predicted In Many States

India Meteorological Department(IMD) has also issued wind warning for Rajasthan and Gujarat parts for the next 12 hours.

The parts of India will continue to reel under intense week for the coming five days as there will be relief in the form of rainfall across many states. 

According to the India Meteorological Department(IMD), parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Rajasthan are likely to receive heavy rainfall on Monday.

IMD said light to moderate rainfall is expected over most places of the three states, while heavy rainfall warning has been issued for East Rajasthan parts on Monday.

IMD said there is going to be a little effect of 'Cyclone Biparjoy' over parts of East Rajasthan as it has been turned now into a "depression".

In North India where are most of the states are reeling under intense heatwave, with most of the places in Uttar Pradesh likely to receive rainfall on Monday and Tuesday. Heavy rainfall has been predicted by IMD for parts of southwest Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

There is also going to be relief for Bihar which has been reeling under intense heatwave. IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall over the parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha for the next two days. Heavy rainfall is predicted in parts of Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal for the two days--Tuesday and Wednesday. 

In parts of central India including Madhya Pradesh, while rain is expected at most places, heavy rainfall is likely expected over parts of western Madhya Pradesh, IMD said.

IMD has also issued wind warning for Rajasthan and Gujarat parts. It said heavy winds upto 60kmph will blew over parts of east Rajasthan and north Gujarat in the next 12 hours. The wind warning for the two states has been issued till Monday evening.

Northeast India:

The rainfall is expected over most of the parts of Northeast in the upcoming five days. IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in the upcoming five days over the most parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya on Monday and Tuesday. 

Light and moderate rainfall is also expected over parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in the coming two days. IMD has predicted heavy rainfall over parts of Uttarakhand from Tuesday to Thursday.

South India

Light to moderate rainfall is also expected over parts of South India in the upcoming five days. IMD said heavy rainfall is also expected over Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Monday.

Heatwave conditions like to abate in the parts of the country:

The IMD said heatwave conditions are likely to continue over parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Telangana. While, it said heatwave will persist in parts of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. It said there will gradual relief from the intense heatwave from the country’s parts after few days.
