Vir Das Announces New Stand-Up Comedy Special Fool Volume; To Premiere On Netflix This July

Vir Das is making his comeback to standup with a show, Fool Volume, which will premiere on Netflix on July 18.

Global comedy icon and international Emmy award-winner Vir Das, is returning to Netflix with Vir Das: Fool Volume. It marks his fifth collaboration with the OTT giant. The show is all set to premiere on July 18.

Vir Das is yet again set to enthral the audiences with his wit, wisdom, and humour.

The release date of Fool Volume was announced by Netflix India, on Friday, with a poster featuring Vir Das. In the poster, the comedian is seen with a mic in one hand and carrying an electric lamp in the other.

The post was shared with a caption, "Indian comedy is not silent, it returns with 'Fool Volume'. A new comedy special from International Emmy-winning comedian, Vir Das is arriving at fool volume on 18 July, only on Netflix."

Vir made the announcement with a post that read: "An Indian crew went across the world and shot a Netflix special. From stadium, to church to cellar, Indian comedy is loud and global. July 18! Do set your reminders now."

His previous standup shows include Canvas Laugh Factory, Vir Das: Abroad Understanding, Vir Das: Losing It, Vir Das: For India, Vir Das: Outside In, and Vir Das: Landing. He was featured in Netflix dark-comedy series Hasmukh.

Das was last seen in Ananya Panday's Call Me Bae on Prime Video.

The multitalented star recently announced his memoir, The Outsider: A Memoir of Misfits. He wrote on Instagram, "I WROTE A BOOK! You can pre-order #TheOUTSIDER now! It’s a crazy story about stumbling into different worlds, across the world. For fellow wanderers, and utter idiotslooking to belong. If that’s you, my story is yours. You’re an Outsider too."
