Congress today ruled out any change in the leadership of its faction-ridden punjab unit but said the question of chiefministership in the event of the party coming to power in the next election would be decided by the high command. After a meeting of the ppcc, which was also attended by president amrinder singh's arch rivals rajinder kumar bhattal and jagmeet brar, aicc general secretary moti lal vora told reporters there was no question of replacing the pcc chief.Asserting that the party was united, vora said congress would contest the polls without projecting any individual for the post of chief minister. The leadership issue will be decided only after the elections as per congress tradition, he added.Asked why there was delay in reconstitution of pcc, he said it will be reconstituted by next week. The pcc meeting was called in the context of a signature campaign against the vajpayee government.Vora said congress was open to the idea of alliance with secular parties and said "pcc's suggestions on the issue will be looked into".He claimed that nearly 27 lakh people from various parts of punjab had put in their signature demanding ouster of the vajpayee government on the tehelka issue.
