The much-anticipated trailer for Rajinikanth starrer Coolie will be unveiled soon. The makers announced that Coolie trailer will be dropped on August 2. The action drama will see Rajinikanth in a massy avatar. The film also stars Aamir Khan and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
Apart from announcing the trailer release date, Sun Pictures also released a new poster of Coolie featuring the cast of the film. "The wait is over! The highly anticipated #Coolie Trailer from August 2💥#Coolie releasing worldwide August 14th (sic)," read the caption in the post.
Makers also revealed that there will be a pre-release event on August 2, 2025, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, where the trailer will be unveiled. Rajinikanth is expected to attend it. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
About Coolie
Coolie's plot was leaked recently. According to Letterboxd, the story revolves around Deva, a former gold smuggler. The synopsis on the platform read: "An aging gold smuggler uses stolen tech hidden in vintage golden watches to revive his old mafia crew. But his plan to reclaim his empire spirals into something bigger, a new universe forged from crime, greed, and broken time."
As per the synopsis on Fandango, the US ticketing platform, Coolie "delves into a man's relentless quest for vengeance since youth, driven by righting past wrongs, shaping his very existence. Viewers experience the complexities of his tumultuous vendetta journey."

Coolie also stars Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj, among others in significant roles.
The film marks Lokesh’s first film with Rajinikanth. Reportedly, it will have a high-octane 15-minute climax scene, which will be a face-off between Aamir and Rajinikanth.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music of Coolie.
Coolie release date
The Tamil-language film will arrive in theatres on August 14, 2025, during the Independence Day weekend.
