Wimbledon hopeful Novak Djokovic is "blessed" to be making history at his favourite tournament.
Djokovic downed Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3 6-0 6-4 on Saturday to tee up a fourth-round clash with Alex De Minaur.
The 38-year-old, who is chasing a record-breaking 25th grand slam title, has now won 100 matches at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon is the second grand slam at which Djokovic has recorded at least 100 match wins, behind Roland-Garros (101). The Serbian is the second man to manage the feat at the All England Club, after Roger Federer (105). Martina Navratilova has the most match victories of all time at the event, with 120.
"It's very historic, it sounds very nice. I'm very grateful and privileged to be in this position," Djokovic said.
"Tennis has given me incredible things in life that I can experience, so I try not to take anything for granted, particularly at this age still going strong and competing with these young players – doing some slides and pushing myself to the limit!
"Wimbledon is a favourite and dream tournament, not just for myself, but the majority of tennis players.
"Growing up, most kids dream of playing and winning here. I've been blessed to do it many times. Any history I make at my favourite tournament, I'm blessed."
Djokovic, who has won Wimbledon seven times, is aiming to reach the Wimbledon final for a fifth straight season.
Indeed, Djokovic has reached the showpiece match in each of the past six years in which the tournament was held (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024).
