Lando Norris finally lived out his childhood dream by winning his home race, a dramatic, rain-soaked British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Starting third, Norris overtook the pole sitter Max Verstappen and took advantage of teammate Oscar Piastri’s 10-second penalty to snatch victory -- McLaren’s first home win since 2008. Piastri finished second but was denied a team-ordered swap. Nico Hulkenberg grabbed a sensational third from 19th. It marked his first ever Formula 1 career's podium that came in 239 appearances. With this win Norris trims Piastri’s lead to 8 points in the drivers standings at the season’s halfway mark. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth.
