Back in December, (G)I-DLE’s Minnie and Yuqi had decided to take a break from their schedule and prioritize their health. The singers were scheduled to return in January to release their second album. However, their agency has announced that Minnie and Yuqi have temporarily halted all activities now because of their health.
Cube Entertainment released a statement that mentioned Minnie and Yuqi have put a pause on all of their activities. In the statement, the agency mentioned that the artists had rushed to the hospital after they developed a high fever. The statement said, “This evening (the 26th), Minnie and Yuqi went to the hospital due to a sudden worsening of their health and a high fever, and in accordance with the doctor’s opinion, they have halted all of their scheduled activities and are currently getting plenty of rest and treatment.”

The agency apologized to fans who had been waiting for (G)I-DLE’s comeback. They asked fans to understand that the artists need to take care of their health first. They mentioned that the agency will continue to support the artists in this condition.
Additionally, they also said, “We will consider the health of our artists our top priority in terms of proceeding with [(G)I-DLE’s] scheduled activities, and we will make another announcement regarding changes to their schedule.” Reacting to the news, one fan said, “Get better and rest up girls.” A second fan commented, “I, and every other #NEVERLAND are wishing @G_I_DLE #Minnie and #YUQI a speedy recovery. We hope they get well soon and stay in good health. Please do not overwork yourselves for fans! @cubeunited don’t overwork your idols! I love you both so much!” A third fan wrote, “And so, it looks like (G)I-DLE will have to promote as a trio for the time being.”

(G)I-DLE was supposed to make a comeback with their second album ‘2’ on January 29. The new dates will be shared by the agency and the band once Minnie and Yuqi are in better health.
