Members of the K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE -- Minnie and Shuhua -- have chosen to take a break from their schedules to prioritize their health and recover, their agency confirmed.

Cube Entertainment announced via Weverse that Shuhua won't participate in the pre-recorded session for KBS' 2023 Music Bank Global Festival. The agency stated, “Early this morning, Shuhua visited the emergency room with symptoms of fever and a cold, receiving a diagnosis of type A influenza. According to medical advice, Shuhua has halted all schedules and is taking a break for rest and recovery.”

Concerns are growing regarding the health of the group's members. Not one, but two members have fallen sick.

Regarding Minnie's condition, the label said, "Minnie recently visited the hospital after persistently experiencing poor health conditions, and has decided to halt all of her activities temporarily to rest, per the advice of medical experts." Consequently, Minnie will also not be partaking in the performances set for the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival on December 15. Notably, the day before, she had to leave the stage during her show at the Jingle Ball 2023 in Philadelphia due to health concerns.

“We have decided to cancel the group’s prerecording of the ‘2023 Music Bank Global Festival’ performance, which was scheduled Friday, due to the contagiousness of the flu and the safety of the artist and fans,” the agency added. “We apologize for causing concern to the fans. Our company will do our utmost to keep a close eye on the health of the members.”

(G)-IDLE is a K-Pop girl group consisting of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. Earlier this year, they released the single 'Queencard,' which has been topping charts.

The group is scheduled to release its second full-length album in January 2024.
