K-pop band Tomorrow x Together's Soobin and OH MY GIRL’s Arin are set to reunite for a 'special stage' at KBS Music Bank Global Festival.
KBS has decided to replace its annual KBS Song Festival with the year-end '2023 Music Bank Global Festival' in both Japan as well as South Korea. The Japanese segment will be pre-recorded on December 9 in Saitama, while both the Korean and Japanese shows will air together on December 15 as a unified year-end special, instead of two separate parts.
KBS officially confirmed on December 8 that the former hosts of 'Music Bank,' Soobin and Arin, will share the stage at the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival in South Korea. While the five-member group Tomorrow x Together was already part of the lineup, Arin will make a special appearance to join her former co-host, marking their on-stage collaboration in almost two years.
Their last duet performance of OH MY GIRL's 'Dolphin' on 'Music Bank' in 2020, quickly went viral on social media and garnered significant attention.
The producers of the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival passed a statement, saying, “Arin and Soobin, who received lots of love from viewers for their fantastic chemistry, are reuniting for the first time in two years. Arin and Soobin, who have honed their teamwork not only as MCs but also through special performances, will put on a legendary performance in which their chemistry will shine even brighter.”
The 2023 Music Bank Global Festival will stream live on December 15 at 8:30 PM KST. For this year, the MCs would be Rowoon, IVE’s Jang Won-young, Go Min-si, and Lee Young-ji.
The lineup of artists performing include: Part 1 will be live and will consist of aespa, CRAVITY, DAY6’s Young K, FANTASY BOYS, fromis_9, (G)I-DLE, H1-KEY, IVE, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, ONEUS, RIIZE, Sunmi, Tomorrow x Together, Xdinary Heroes, xikers, and ZEROBASEONE. Meanwhile, Part 2 will be the pre-recorded show, which will consist of ATEEZ, BOYNEXTDOOR, THE BOYZ, Golden Girls, ENHYPEN, ITZY, Kang Daniel, Kep1er, Le Sserafim, Lee Young-ji, MeloMance, NewJeans, NiziU, NMIXX, Park Jin-young, P1Harmony, SHINee, STAYC, Stray Kids, and &TEAM.
