‘Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part 1’ (January 9)

The first instalment of a trilogy, ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part 1’, is inspired by the celebrated comic book series. The animated adaptation revolves around the unleashing of the Anti-Monitor, the counterpart to the Monitor, across the multiverse. With his arrival, there’s devastation across diverse Earths. To counter that, the Monitor forms an alliance of superheroes from various universes, featuring the likes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern.

‘Break Point season 2; (January 10)

The second season further explores the high-stakes realm of professional tennis. This series is about eminent tennis professionals as they battle the demanding sport at various grand slams around the world. Season 2 marks the return of familiar faces like Taylor Fritz and Maria Sakkari, and introduces rising talents such as Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff. ‘Metallic Rouge’ (January 10)

Set in a universe where humans and androids live together, this anime is about the story of an android, Rouge Redstar, and her human partner, Naomi Orthmann. Their mission, set on Mars, needs them to neutralise a group of synthetic beings, the Immortal Nine, since they pose a threat to the government.

‘Boy Swallows Universe’ (January 11)

‘Boy Swallows Universe’, an adaptation of Trent Dalton’s semi-autobiographical novel, highlights the life of Eli, a 12-year-old boy facing a tumultuous family life. With his father absent, his mother incarcerated, brother unable to speak, Eli’s world is challenging. The project is set against the backdrop of 1980s Brisbane, and showcases how Eli deals with the city's criminal underworld to safeguard his mother.

‘Echo’ (January 11)

The tenth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series, Echo. focuses on Maya Lopez, a deaf Native American, who is also the ex-leader of the Tracksuit Mafia. It shows how Maya evades the pursuit of Wilson Fisk’s organisation, returns to her origins in Oklahoma, but faces the challenges of her past.

‘Killer Soup’ (January 11)

Killer Soup is a black comedy crime thriller series, which revolves around Swati Shetty (Konkona Sen Sharma), a home chef who comes up with a plan to replace her husband, Prabhakar (Manoj Bajpayee), with her lover, Umesh (also played by Bajpayee). However, the scheme involves an unforeseen turmoil, and how they all deal with it, forms the crux of the show.

‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ (January 12)

Directed by Martin Scorsese, the American Western crime drama set in 1920s Oklahoma explores a spate of murders targeting members of the Osage Nation. Due to their rising prosperity, these tribal members become victims of a deceitful political figure who aims to usurp their wealth. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone, the film is based on the 2017 non-fiction book by David Grann.

‘Lift’ (January 12)

The action-comedy film directed by F. Gary Gray is around an international heist crew, and the only way they can all avoid jail time is by undertaking a daring mission to steal $500 million worth of gold from a passenger plane at 40,000 feet. The film’s cast includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D'Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno and Sam Worthington.

‘Role Play’ (January 12)

The action-packed thriller comedy revolves around Emma (Kaley Cuoco), a suburban New Jersey resident, who has a loving husband, David (David Oyelowo). But beneath her perfect life, Emma leads a clandestine existence as a hired assassin. Soon, David uncovers her secret during an attempt at role-playing.
