'Stree' that released in 2018 was a huge success. Post that, the audience has been waiting with bated breath for the sequel. The movie stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. Directed by Amar Kaushik, 'Stree' had already set the bar high and the makers are all set for the sequel, 'Stree 2'. The filming has officially begun and it was announced today with a video.
The tagline of the horror comedy has also been revealed. In 'Stree', it was "O stree kal aana" but in 'Stree 2' it's "O stree raksha karna". Later, it's written, "Sarkate ka aatank". In the clip, we also see a lane of Chanderi with a ‘missing’ poster on a wall.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao gave a sneak peek into the horror comedy and announced that the filming of 'Stree 2' has begun. The video also reveals that the film will release in August 2024. "Ek baar phir चंदेरी में फैला aantak! स्त्री २ filming beginsAa rahi hai woh- August 2024!", read the caption.

'Stree 2' also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles.
It was during the time of the release of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Bhediya', 'Stree 2' was announced. Shraddha even made a cameo in 'Bhediya' song 'Thumkeshwari's behind-the-scenes video confirming the sequel.
