December has started and with this, year 2023 is about to end. As we are all set to bid adieu to the year, this month has some great films to offer to the moviegoers. A couple of films like 'Animal' and Sam Bahadur' have released on December 1 and some are yet to hit the screens. This year films like 'Pathaan', 'Jawan' and 'Tiger 3' took the box office by storm and we are hoping that the year ends on a good note.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' hit the screens on December 1. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film shows Ranbir in a never-seen-before avatar and he has nailed his performance to the T. It also stars Anil Kapoor as Ranbir's on-screen father, Rashmika Mandanna as his wife and Bobby Deol as his nemesis. Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi also play key roles. 'Animal' is a violent story of revenge and it shows the complex dynamics between a father and a son.
Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Sam Bahadur' locked horns with Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal'. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, it's about India's legendary Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. It shows his sacrifices for the nation and his bravery and victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Vicky has perfectly aced the look and mannerisms of India's war hero. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra play pivotal parts in the war biopic.
After the blockbusters, 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', Shah Rukh Khan is all set to enthral his fans with his upcoming film 'Dunki'. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie is about a group of friends who move to another country and then struggle to return home and yearn to meet their loved ones. It is releasing on December 22, 2023.
Zoya Akhtar is launching the star kids in her much-awaited film 'The Archies'. It is all set to release on Netflix on December 7. The film has Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Dot., Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. The trailer looks promising. The film is set in the fictional town of Riverdale, in the ’60s India. The film will show the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Ethel, Jughead, and Dilton.
'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan'
'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' is yet another upcoming release of Zoya Akhtar. It's the story of three friends played by Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. It is a ‘coming-of-digital-age’ story where all three, in their mid-20s navigate life in the digital world. Director Arjun Varain Singh has made his debut by helming the film. 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' has taken the OTT route as it is also releasing on Netflix on December 26.
