In the coming days, the BJP-led central government will take "many decisions" which are in the pipeline and after that, "no one will be able to replace" the dispensation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sawant said.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, however, equated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah with "Lord Krishna and Arjun" over the Centre's move to scrap the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370.
The Congress Party, having won 17 seats in 2017, emerged as a single largest opposition party but it now finds itself reduced to mere 5 seats after 10 of its MLAs, joined the ruling BJP. Two Congress MLAs had joined the BJP earlier.
Earlier in the day, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met BJP president Amit Shah and both leaders believed to have held deliberations over a reshuffle in the state Cabinet after the arrival of 10 Congress MLAs.
The meeting comes a day after a group of 10 Congress MLAs in Goa led by Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Chandrakant Kavlekar merged with the ruling BJP, increasing the saffron party's strength to 27 in the 40-seat house.
