'OMG 2' starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi has been creating a lot of buzz. It is the sequel to Akshay and Paresh Rawal's 2012 film 'OMG-Oh My God'. The teaser released recently, post which there have been reports claiming that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has refused to certify the film. As per reports, 'OMG 2' has been sent to a review committee in order to avoid controversy after its release.

The committee wants to check that the dialogues and scenes in 'OMG 2 ‘do not create any issues’. However, there is no clarity yet about which scenes or dialogues in the film have caused concern to the CBFC.

As per a report in India Today, “CBFC does not want to repeat the backlash that 'Adipurush' faced over its dialogues” and it will take a decision on Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Oh My God 2' after the board's revising committee “looks over at the dialogues and scenes in the film.”

Pankaj Tripathi without saying much about the controversy told Zoom TV, “All I will say is, please don’t believe what is being written about it. Log bahut kuch bol rahe hain. Lekin sachchai samne aayegi jab film release hogi (People are saying all sorts of things, but the truth will be out when the film releases)."

"Doing a lighthearted comedy is just as tough, if not tougher. With a comedy, an actor has no idea if the audience will finally laugh at what he is creating. We may find the scene uproarious while shooting it. But the audience may not agree," he added.

'OMG 2' is directed by Amit Rasi. Akshay is playing Lord Shiva, while Pankaj will be seen as Shiva devotee, Kanti Sharan Mudgal. Also starring Yami Gautam as a lawyer, it is all set to hit the screens on August 11 clashing with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer 'Gadar 2'.
