Pop icon Taylor Swift on Tuesday unveiled the music video for “Elizabeth Taylor,” the second track from her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. It honours Elizabeth Taylor, one of the legendary Hollywood icons of the 20th century, who died in 2011 at age 79.

The clips include visuals from Taylor's films, including Cleopatra, Father of the Bride, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Place in the Sun, Giant, Suddenly, Last Summer, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Julia Misbehaves and Boom.

Last month, Swift's Life of a Showgirl track “Opalite” topped the Billboard Hot 100, marking her 14th song to dominate the charts. Her lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” charted at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks.

When The Life of a Showgirl was released in October, Swift revealed that she had asked permission from the estate of Taylor to release her song, the lyrics of which have references to the Cleopatra star's lifestyle, favourite places, including Portofino, and Italy.
