When it comes to celebrities, friendships and relationships can appear close-knit, yet it so happens that many celebrities aren't as close as perceived. Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie, for instance, didn't seem to have gotten along in the past. However, this changed with the creation of their latest project, 'Maude vs Maude.'

“We had a rocky start and I think that is going to serve us well in our screen time together,” Berry told Variety.

Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie are currently shooting for their joint production, and will also be starring in the same. Calling Angelina “formidable”, Halle said that she was “thrilled to work with another woman and craft a story with our sensibility and from our point of view". She didn't reveal the reason behind their rocky start but added, "We’ve been talking a lot about divorces and exes. We bonded, let’s say that."

When asked about the film, in the same interview, Halle revealed that 'Maude v Maude' will be a mix of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and 'Mission: Impossible' with a slight comedic twist to it. She also revealed that her and Jolie will engage in a battle, both "physically and intellectually," within the movie.

About their divorces

Earlier this year, Halle Berry finalised her divorce with Olivier Martinez. According to a report by Page Six, a Los Angeles court mandated Berry to pay $8000 per month in child support to Olivier for their 9-year-old son. Meanwhile, Angelina is currently in an ugly battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt over custody over their six children, property and other issues.
