Finally, the wait is over as Farhan Akhtar announced the third instalment of his 'Don' franchise. On Tuesday, Farhan announced the third chapter on social media as he dropped a clip where '3' with 'A New Era Begins' was written. The cast is not revealed yet but it is reported that Ranveer Singh will replace Shah Rukh Khan. In the earlier instalments, Shah Rukh played the titular role, Don.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, 'Don 3' teaser will be out this week on the digital world. A source told the portal that the team is very excited to introduce Ranveer Singh as the new Don to this young generation of cinema-going audience. ''The introduction will happen through a proper teaser, which will drop digitally in the next 2 to 3 days,” revealed the source and also said Ranveer will be seen in an 'uber cool avatar' in the teaser, and will 'bring a new dimension to the character of Don'.

The source also said that the teaser of 'Don 3' will be screened in the cinema halls through the Independence Day week with Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2'. It said, “Gadar is an action film, which is expected to set the box office on fire. Farhan Akhtar and co. are keen to screen the teaser of Don 3 at national chains all across the country. The same teaser might be screened with Ranveer’s own, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 as well''.
However, fans of SRK are not happy with Ranveer replacing him in 'Don 3'.

The action drama is expected to go on floors once Ranveer wraps up Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Baiju Bawra'. It might release in 2025.
