The announcement was made through a Wednesday afternoon post on X, formerly known as Twitter. Springsteen, a New Jersey native, shared the news, stating, "Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed."

For those holding tickets to these eagerly awaited concerts, the message is to retain your tickets for now. The rescheduled dates for the Philly shows are currently being worked on, and the existing tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Springsteen's post emphasized, "We are working on rescheduling the dates, so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows."

This situation marks the second and third appearances of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Philadelphia this year. Despite the setback caused by illness, Springsteen remains committed to bringing his signature energy and musical prowess to his dedicated fans.
