Reknowned actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa have been found dead their Santa Fe home in New Mexico.
Along with the couple, the dog was also found dead at the home. As per the Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza, no foul play is suspected.
As per The Santa Fe New Mexican, the couple died around midnight on 26 February. The sheriff did not speculate on their cause of death.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of death of the Oscar-winning actor and his classical pianist wife. While foul play has been ruled out, authorities have not released any details of the circumstances.
As per Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Denise Avila, deputies responded to a request for a welfare check at the home Wednesday around 1:45 pm local time and found Hackman, his wife Betsy Arakawa and a dog dead.

Hackman, 95, was a five-time Oscar nominee who starred in dozens of films and is considered to be one of the industry's most respected and honoured performers.
Two of Hackman's Oscar wins - “The French Connection” and “Unforgiven”, were 21 years apart.
News of the Hollywood actor's death comes just four days before the 2025 Academy Awards ceremony.
