Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups advance bookings have crossed the ₹18 crore mark within just 48 hours, signalling a strong start for Yash’s much-awaited pan-India action drama. The Geetu Mohandas directorial has moved at an impressive pace since bookings opened, with early ticket sales putting the film ahead of several major Hindi blockbusters.

Toxic Advance Bookings Race Ahead Of Dhurandhar 2, Jawan And Animal

The film had already sold nearly 2.5 lakh tickets across India during its first 24 hours of advance sales. That figure placed Toxic ahead of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which sold around 1.5 lakh tickets in the same period, and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2, which recorded approximately 1.3 lakh.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal was further behind, with around 55,000 tickets sold during its first 24 hours. The Hindi version of Toxic alone reportedly sold around 60,000 tickets during that period, underlining the demand for Yash’s latest release beyond its Kannada market.

The Hindi version of Toxic has now crossed ₹7.35 crore in direct advance gross, with 2.13 lakh tickets sold across 10,138 shows. Karnataka remains the film’s strongest market, contributing over ₹9.5 crore from direct sales, while the all-India total stands at ₹18.26 crore from 4.56 lakh tickets across 12,575 tracked shows, according to Sacnilk’s latest tracking data.

With block seats included, the film’s Day 1 advance gross has reportedly surged past ₹27 crore. Maharashtra has recorded ₹1.27 crore in direct sales, while Gujarat has crossed ₹1.15 crore. Delhi-NCR has contributed ₹85.30 lakh, further highlighting the film’s strong performance across major markets.

The Kannada 2D version leads the language-wise advance bookings with ₹9.51 crore, followed by Hindi at ₹7.35 crore. Kannada IMAX 2D and 4DX have added ₹61.40 lakh and ₹18.21 lakh respectively, while the Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu versions have also registered advance sales.

According to Sacnilk’s latest live tracking data, Toxic has sold 4,56,486 tickets across 12,575 tracked shows, with direct advance gross standing at ₹18.26 crore. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on August 26, 2026.

Toxic Release Date, Cast And CBFC Rating

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The film has attracted attention not only for its scale but also for its intimate sequences and imagery that has sparked discussion online.

The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared Toxic with an A certificate and no cuts.

The action drama is finally set to arrive in cinemas on August 26, with its rapidly growing advance bookings setting the stage for what could be one of Yash’s biggest openings.
