Toxic Advance Booking Report: Yash-Starrer Sells Over 3.3 Lakh Tickets, Earns Nearly ₹14 Crore

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, led by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, will arrive in cinemas on August 26, 2026. Advance bookings for the film have opened across India. Going by the pre-sales figures, Toxic seems to be taking a phenomenal start at the box office on Day 1. It has sold over 3 lakh tickets and has generated nearly ₹14 crore in advance booking sales. With blocked seats, it has crossed ₹20 crore. Toxic will be released in multiple languages. It marks Yash’s return to the big screen nearly four years after KGF: Chapter 2.

Early ticket sales have skyrocketed. The movie sold 3,30,619 tickets across 10,963 shows and grossed ₹13.98 crore without blocked seats, Sacnilk reported. With blocked seats, total pre-sales reached ₹21.98 crore. With four days left before the premiere, the film is expected to record more bookings.

Home state drives sales

Karnataka, Yash's home state, leads the ticket sales with ₹8.93 crore in bookings across 1,608 shows.

Bengaluru contributed ₹5.29 crore from 917 shows. Mysuru grossed ₹77.6 lakhs from 113 shows.

The seats are filling fast in states like Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Odisha.

Toxic's Hindi-dubbed version is also doing well. NCR contributed ₹2.85 lakh from 27 shows, followed by Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai.

With Toxic, Yash might score his second ₹100 crore opening after KGF 2.

About Toxic

Toxic has been passed with an ‘A' certificate. The film has received an 18 rating from the BBFC in the UK. The British censor board reportedly raised concerns regarding the content involving threats, drugs, sexual violence and self-harm.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Akshay Oberoi in key roles.
