Meghan Markle is believed to be in talks for the third season of Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen. Reports hint the Duchess of Sussex is being considered for the crime comedy, even though Netflix has not yet officially renewed the series beyond its upcoming season. The Gentlemen, starring Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, is a spinoff of Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film with the same name. It has since emerged as one of Netflix’s popular British original series. The second season is set to premiere on September 3rd.

Meghan's stunt casting has the potential to bring in a surge of new viewers. Meghan quit acting after marrying Prince Harry, though she has made several on-screen stints. Australian outlet News.com.au was the first to land the scoop that the Duchess had been “offered a role in an upcoming project based in the U.K.”

Meghan Markle To Make Acting Comeback

Harry and Meghan are expected to return to the UK in the coming weeks, with their children, Archie and Lilibet, due to start school there in September. Their stay is expected to last for an extended period, although the couple will retain their Montecito home. Meghan achieved stardom for playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits across seven seasons. There's no clarity or announcement on how many episodes in The Gentlemen Meghan might be appearing.

The Gentlemen is created by Ritchie, who serves as writer alongside Matthew Read. Ritchie and Eran Creevy direct. The series is executive produced by Ritchie, Will Gould, Read, Frith Tiplady, Simon Crawford Collins for Moonage Pictures and Ivan Atkinson. Laura Jackson and Max Keene produce.
