The Indian Super League (ISL) on Sunday postponed the 62nd match of 2021-22 between Kerala Blasters FC and Mumbai City FC. The match was scheduled to be played today (January 16) at Tilak Maidan Stadium, Vasco in Goa due to the COVID-19 outbreak. (More Football News)
According to an ISL release, "Kerala Blasters FC do not have the requisite number of players available for the match."
Earlier, ATK Mohun Bagan's matches against Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC have also been postponed.
"The decision has been taken in consultation with the League's medical team after it was assessed Kerala Blasters FC do not have the requisite number of players available for the match.

"The League will work closely with the medical experts to monitor and ensure the safety of all the players and support staff in the squad and others involved," the statement added.
Kerala were looking to consolidate their lead at the top of the table. They were unbeaten in 10 of their 11 games, are on a dream run.
Ivan Vukomanovic's charges have looked like the best team so far in the season with their attacking arsenal steamrolling opponents. Their only defeat was against ATK Mohun Bagan, a 2-4 reverse, on November 19 last year.
In contrast, reigning champions Mumbai were in a desperate run. Placed fourth in the points table, Des Buckingham's side have 17 points in 11 games.

In the 15 games between the two sides, Kerala have won thrice, including the last game. Mumbai have six wins and six games ended in draws.
