After an underwhelming Day 5 which featured just three Indian medals, Day 6 was a far more fruitful one for the India contingent, with eight more medals accruing to the country's medal tally. The Indian men’s 50m rifle 3P team bagged gold and women’s 10m air pistol team clinched silver. The tennis doubles duo of Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni too bagged a silver, and Kiran Baliyan claimed India's first 2023 Asiad athletics medal in shot put at the fag end of the day. The Indian men's badminton team have scripted history by securing a medal at the Asian Games after 37 years. They have defeated Nepal 3-0 in the quarterfinals and will face the winner between Indonesia and Korea in the semifinals.

3:25pm: Badminton - Lakshya Wins First Match
Lakshya Sen wins the first match of Indian men’s team quarter-final tie against Nepal. Lakshya wins 21-5, 21-8 against Prince Dahal to put India in the lead.
