Joseph messes up his line a little bit, and Head punishes him with a terrific shot that races to the ropes. The 50-run partnership comes up with Khawaja, which now stands at 51 off 68 balls.

The Aussie batters have slowed down the pace of the game, and the runs are ticking on after lunch.

After two boundaries off Joseph and Greaves, West Indies are back to their usual tight bowling. However, they need to break this partnership soon, as Khawaja is approaching a steady half-century. Head, meanwhile, is batting at a strike-rate of 80.

Australia finally cross the 100-run mark in the 35th over, with Khawaja and Head rotating the strike against Seales effectively. Both players are nearing half-centuries. Still 55 overs left to play in the day.

A well taken boundary off Shamar Joseph, and fifty comes up for Travis Head. A sensational knock considering the circumstances in which he came in. 50 off 57 balls, that's a strike rate of 88. A perfect combination with the slow-going Khawaja.

Khawaja is finally gone after a steady innings, failing to reach his half-century. Joseph’s delivery beat his defence as he attempted to hit a square leg shot, and the slightest of bottom edges carried it to the wicketkeeper. West Indies finally break the partnership after a long, long time.

Australia’s innings is dismantling. Cummins drives a good length ball from Seales towards mid-off, where Brathwaite takes an easy catch. Valuable rummins from the tail-ender, but it is not long-lived.

Australia strike early, dismissing Brathwaite with a terrific seam delivery from Starc. A slight edge is taken at slip, and Windies lose their first. Carty comes on, and hits a boundary.

Starc gets his second wicket of the day, a his outside-off delivery completely fools Campbell and it is edged to the wicketkeeper. West Indies are completely messing up their innings early on the first day. King comes on as the new batter, and hits a boundary off his first ball.

King is in the mood to go all out, with a number of boundaries off Starc. A partnership is building between King and Carty, which is good news for the West Indies after a rough start.

West Indies’ partnership is broken by Cummins. A short call clips the bat and it grasped by the wicketkeeper, who couldn’t have asked for a simpler catch.

Warrican is the new batter.

Warrican just lasts two balls on the crease, and an outside off delivery hits the inside edge and then smashes the top of the stumps. Australia are well and truly on top at the moment.
