Indian Army Kills Two Infiltrators Along The Border In J&K's Poonch

The Indian Army said it killed two infiltrators in Balakote sector of Poonch in Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation began around 7 pm on Saturday.

The Indian Army on Sunday said it has foiled a major infiltration bid along the border in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch. 

The Army said it killed two infiltrators in Balakote sector of Poonch in Jammu region of J&K. The operation began around 7:45 pm on Saturday.

The Indian Army said, "Alert troops of Indian Army deployed on the border fence in Balakote observed suspicious movement ahead of the border fence and subsequently neutralised two terrorists. The area has been cordoned off and the operation is in progress."

The statement comes from the Army at a time when a joint-operation for terrorists involved in the Dhangri attacks is also ongoing in the Jammu region.

"The operations to nab terrorists involved in the Dhangri attack continue by the security forces in Rajouri and Poonch Districts," said the Indian Army.

The PTI reported that the bodies of the two terrorists killed along the border were found on Sunday morning.
