Tamil Nadu: IT Dept Raids 10 Premises Linked To Senthil Balaji's Brother In Karur

The Income Tax Department raided the properties linked to jailed Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam minister Senthil Balaji for the third time on Tuesday. This time they raided 10 premises linked to Balaji's brother Ashok Kumar.

The Income Tax department raided 10 premises linked with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam minister Senthil Balaji's brother Ashok Kumar in Karur on Tuesday. Balaji was arrested on June 14 by the Enforcement Directorate for a money laundering case.

According to the reports, the IT raid was also conducted in the residence of Kongu Mess Hotel owner Mani who is also known as Subramani at Rayanur in Karur. Subramani is a close associate of Ashok Kumar. On Tuesday, the searches were held in different places by the sleuths, with armed central paramilitary personnel providing security.

This was the third time the department raided premises linked with Senthil Balaji. The first raid was held on May 26 and it reportedly lasted for 8 days while the second one was done on June 23 after the minister was arrested by ED and a few properties were sealed in the two-day raid.
