Ex-Army Man Beats Wife To Death In Rajasthan

An ex-Armyman beat his wife to death in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district following a dispute between the two, police said on Saturday. The SHO informed that the couple's 13-year-old son was present in the house when the accident happened.

The accused, identified as Vijendr Jat brutally thrashed his 42-year-old wife, Saroj Devi with a stick when she was in the kitchen, SHO Kotwali Surendra Singh was quoted saying. Devi was then rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors attending to her declared her dead. Jat is currently absconding, the police informed.

Primary investigations have revealed that the couple used to quarrel often. "Both of them used to suspect each other's character,” Singh said talking about the domestic violence case.

An argument broke out between the couple at night, when Vijendra, in a fit of rage, hit her with a stick, he said.
