Russia: 25 Killed, 66 Injured As Fire Breaks Out At Gas Station In Dagestan Region

Citing a statement issued by Russian emergency service, TASS reported that fire fighters worked for over three and a half hours to douse the fire that spread into an area of 600 square meters (715 square yards).

In a tragic incident, 25 people including three children succumbed to death after a massive blaze broke out at a gas station in the southern Russian region of Dagestan, as per media reports.

The officials said that the fire started at an auto repair shop on the roadside of a highway in Dagestani capital Makhachkala on Monday night which eventually led to blasts spreading to a nearby gas station.

According to the Russian deputy health minister Vladimir Fisenko, the number of people injured rose to 66, 10 of whom are in a critical condition.

It has been reported that thirteen of the wounded are children.
