'Dunki'-'Salaar' box office clash

This month the box office witnessed the monumental clash of mega movies- Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dunki' and 'Prabhas' Salaar'. Both movies created hype and buzz before their release. It was one of the biggest box office clashes of this year. 'Dunki' opened with Rs 30 crore nett on Day 1 while Prabhas starrer 'Jawan' and 'Pathaan' created a tsunami in theatres, earning Rs 95 crore in India. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial is facing tough competition from Prashanth Neel's film.

Salman Khan shares hug with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan

It was a rare moment that Salman Khan hugged Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan at film producer Anand Pandit's 60th birthday party recently held in Mumbai. It was a star-studded affair attended by the who's who of Bollywood including Big B, Abhishek and Salman. A video from the party went viral on social media where they exchanged hugs and netizens commented on it expressing happiness and joy seeing all three together.

Gazal Dhaliwal slams 'Animal' director Sandeep Reddy Vanga

'Animal' grabbed the headlines post its release mostly for all the wrong reasons. Recently, screenwriter Gazal Dhaliwal slammed Sandeep Reddy Vanga for not giving her due credit in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. Dhaliwal in her Instagram post pointed out that Vanga took the credit as the writer-editor-director, of the film while the other co-writers were not acknowledged properly. She wrote in her post that it's a common practice in the film industry for filmmakers to want to have the credit as 'writer’s’ due to their hunger for ‘power’.

Jacqueline Fernandez-Sukesh Chandrashekhar controversy

On Tuesday, actress Jacqueline Fernandez approached the Delhi High Court requesting to quash the FIR against her in the Enforcement Directorate’s Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. On Wednesday, she moved a Delhi court seeking directions for immediately restraining alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar from issuing any communication pertaining to her, directly or indirectly, to the media. In her plea, she sought directions to the superintendent of Mandoli prison and Delhi Police’s economic offences wing (EOW) to not allow Sukesh to issue any further letters, statements or messages about her. 

Sameer Wankhede reacts to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' dialogue 

Former NCB Zonal Head Sameer Wankhede recently reacted to a dialogue of Shah Rukh Khan from ‘Jawan’ which was apparently targeted at him. In one of dialogues, SRK said, ‘Bete ko haath lagaane se pehele, baap se baat kar’. Wankhede, who was investigating the alleged drugs on cruise case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, in an interview with MensXp, said, ''This dialogue sounds very roadside to me. I neither watch movies nor listen to any dialogue. I don’t know anything about this movie. But if someone has targeted this towards me, then I would like to respond to it in English''. He also quoted a writer and said, ''I have burnt many houses and bridges and I have danced on those burnt houses and bridges so I fear no hell so please don’t scare me''.
