Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma became an unmatched combo together as Guthi and Dr Mashoor Gulati on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. However, the two had an infamous fallout in 2017 while onboard a flight, and Sunil ended up leaving the show.

Sunil then launched his own comedy show, for which he also collaborated with Krushna Abhishek. However, it failed to be as popular as ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ (TKSS). In fact, Krushna also ended up joining Kapil for a while on the show.

But in 2020, when the news of Sunil Grover undergoing heart surgery came out, Kapil wished him well, and the two have always maintained that they would work together in the future if any exciting opportunity comes up.

Now, in a new interview, Sunil was asked if he is open to working with Kapil Sharma again after being reminded that Kapil has always welcomed him on the show. To which, he told HT, “Abhi to aisa koi…ya to pujhwalo fir aap (there is nothing like that, or ask him then).”

Meanwhile, Sunil is currently busy with the promotions of his new comedy series ‘United Kachhe’ and will also feature in the upcoming film ‘Jawan’, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Talking about his work, Sunil then added, “I am also busy right now and enjoying what I am doing. He is also busy and doing good work. I am also doing good work. I have already enjoyed my phase of non-fiction and am currently liking the fiction setup, gaining new experiences as a performer. I am having fun. There are no such plans right now.”

Although Sunil never returned to ‘TKSS’, he did enact Dr Mashoor Gulati on ‘India's Laughter Champion’. “I wanted to do it for myself. I enjoyed dressing up as Doctor Mashoor Gulati after a long time. It was only for one episode. That’s all, and I love it,” he had earlier shared.
