Sajid Khan Mocks Media For Declaring Him Dead; Confirms He Is Alive And Kicking; Condoles Death Of Namesake ‘Mother India’ Actor

Actor-director Sajid Khan took to social media to clarify the reports about his death. He opened up about the fact that Sajid Khan who had passed away was a different actor altogether. Sajid Khan mocked the media for not doing basic checks before putting out such a story.

Just last night social media was filled with reports of Sajid Khan having passed away. While the news had put the entire film industry in a state of sorrow, many media houses mistakenly tagged a different Sajid Khan as having died. The actor-director, who’s alive and kicking, took to social media to condole the death of his namesake and also mocked the media for having put forth stories without fact-checking them.

So, for the unversed, Sajid Khan who has passed away was the child artist who played the character of a young Sunil Dutt in ‘Mother India’. He went on to do numerous films which got him immense critical acclaim not just in India but even abroad. He even did quite a few shows and films in various foreign film industries.

On the other hand, Sajid Khan who is alive and kicking is almost 20 years younger than his deceased namesake. The director-actor is popularly referred to as ‘host and dost’ which was his signature call-out. Sajid Khan has mocked the media for tagging him wrongly on the stories around the death of the ‘Mother India’ actor. He took to social media to share a video to clarify things in his own comical way.

He captioned the post as, “R.i.p.sajid khan(1951-2023)...not me 🙏 as reported with my pic by some media people... (sic).”

Sajid Khan, in the video, went on to request media houses to do the check properly before posting such a piece of information. Had there been basic checks done, it would have been cleared as to which Sajid Khan has passed away and which one is still alive and going perfectly okay. This incident caused Sajid Khan a lot of stress as he started getting calls from concerned friends and family members asking about his well-being. Not only that, he even started getting condolence messages from fans and followers on social media.

Closing the video, Sajid Khan didn’t forget to express his deepest condolences to the actor Sajid Khan who passed away in his 70s yesterday after suffering a long battle with cancer.
