Mia Khalifa has always openly talked about how she deals with trolls and misogynistic comments daily. The former adult film star has recently started her jewellery line, Sheytan. In a recent interview, she opened up about how the fashion industry is massively gatekept and how she made her way in.

Speaking to Vogue India, Mia Khalifa talked about the backlash she received when she walked the ramp for the KNWLS Spring/Summer 2024 show. She quoted a lyric from Chris Brown’s ‘Look At Me Now’ and said, “Girl, how can you hate from outside of the club, you can’t even get in.”

Mia Khalifa also talked about how she deals with the hate that she receives online. She said, “Adversity builds character. I tell myself I have made it through a lot worse. It’s mostly a mental thing. For the parts that aren’t, they make beta blockers.”

She talked about how she looks at the hate that she receives on a daily basis. She added, “I take it in my stride. Life doesn’t get hard when it’s about to get easier, it gets hard when things are changing for the better.”

Talking about Sheytan, she revealed why she chose this name. She said, “I wanted it to be something tongue-in-cheek and this is what people have been calling me all this time. Those who are offended will be offended by anything at this point.” Mia Khalifa talked about how surreal it felt for her when she got the opportunity to dabble in fashion. The actor has a fashion sense of her own and having her own identity made her stand out.
