Superman Box Office Collection Day 4: James Gunn movie is yet to cross the Rs 30 crore mark in India.

James Gunn’s Superman, starring David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel, released in theatres on July 11, 2025. It had a promising start in India on the first day of its release, and witnessed a sharp rise in its collections on day 2 and day 3. But on day 4, on its first Monday, the superhero film saw a huge dip in its earnings.

Superman box office collection in India

As per a report in Sacnilk, the Marvel film collected Rs 7.25 crore on Friday, Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.25 crore on Sunday. On Monday, it earned an estimated Rs 2.25 crore, taking the total box office collection to Rs 28.25 crore.

In 3D, Superman had an overall 10.63% English Occupancy on Monday. Morning shows recorded the lowest occupancy of 7.06%, while night shows had highest occupancy of 13.63%. Afternoon and evening shows saw occupancy of 10.28% and 11.56%, respectively.

Though Corenswet-starrer experienced a slump on Monday, it's still ahead of the Hindi releases: Rajkummar Rao’s gangster drama Maalik, which reportedly earned Rs 1.65 crore on the same day, and Vikrant Massey-Shanaya Kapoor's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which minted only 20 lakh.

Superman worldwide collection

Superman has become the third-highest Hollywood opener in India in 2025, and is ahead of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning and Scarlett Johansson’s Jurassic World: Rebirth. It has also surpassed the collections of Brad Pitt’s F1.

Till Sunday, Superman's domestic box office collection was $125 million, while it collected $95 million from international markets, taking the total box office collections to $220 million, as per a report in Deadline.

Superman, written and directed by Gunn, also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Terence Rosemore, Anthony Carrigan and María Gabriela de Faría, among others.
