What Jeethu Joseph said about Ajay's Drishyam 3

Earlier, in an interview with the Times of India, Joseph, who directed the Malayalam Drishyam films, refuted rumours of Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 3 having a different storyline.

"There have been reports that the Hindi version will have a different story, but that's not true. The Hindi film will also be based on my story," he said.

Joseph said, "There was a request from their side for a simultaneous release. So, we have been discussing the prospect of releasing the films simultaneously... In this OTT age, they feel that releasing on different dates might reduce the film's impact in the other languages."

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the first instalment of the Hindi version was released in 2015, followed by the second instalment in 2022.

Drishyam 3 (Malayalam) grossed a lifetime worldwide collection of approximately ₹242 crore.
